​Northport One-Act Play Festival History

12th Annual Northport One-Act Play Festival

October 1-3, 2021


The Festival was a great success thanks to

all the playwrights, directors, actors, staff and volunteers.


Northport Plays required proof of vaccination for all audience members,

as well as performers, backstage crew, and theater staff,
for all performances in October 2021.

The Festival was on stage at the

Playhouse at St. Paul’s, 270 Main St, Northport.

Masks were required for all audience members inside the theater.
Seating was spaced for social distancing.

"The High Road" a comedy by Seth Freeman, Director James Polen

Good intentions pave the road on this unpredictable car trip.

A woman encounters an unexpected visitor as she tries

to honor a promise made to her dying husband.


"Billy Buckner" a drama by Michael Solomowitz, Director Cal Gladen

with Steve Kaminsky, Jodi Kennedy and Tom Ciorciari,

Soon to be married baseball fan is confronted with his shortcomings

and turns to an unlikely source for advice.


"Little Pink Cakes" a comedy by Gina Scarda, Director Maria Filippone

with Heidi Emerich Hecker, Lisa Kane Meckes and Frank Failla.

A journey of self-discovery leads to an unexpected future.


"A Friendly Game of Clue" a comedy by Michael Casano, 

Director John Passadino

An innocent game night takes a terrible turn

when someone keeps winning.

parrot inadvertently becomes part of the process.

A rehab patient gets a visit from his neurotic, over protective mother.


"Dead Man Balking or The Kiss of Death" a comedy by Jack McCleland

Director Ed Eriksson

with Shari Cohen and John Torres.

A man has an unexpected visitor, an unusual form of the great reaper.


"Flop Sweat" a comedy written and directed by Peter Scarpinato

with Alfio DiFranco, John Pennino and Rebekah Fitzpatrick.

A play goes wrong when the actress falls ill at the last minute.
